The world we left before lockdown feels very different to the one we’re living in now. The rapid shift in the way we work - be it fully remote or having to rapidly adapt workplaces - opened up new life balance possibilities for some, and restricted it for others. Meanwhile, Black Lives Matter and spiralling unemployment have spotlighted a conversation on the inequities of our society.
People’s experiences during the past few months will frame their expectations of work in the present and for the future. And just as the boundaries between work and life have blurred, organisations cannot expect employees and jobseekers to leave these new expectations at the door.
